![]() ![]() The question was why it had gone from failing to working. ![]() Then I tried redoing the direct rescue media creation using the USB I had used with Rufus – and all of a sudden that worked too where it had always failed before. Since I could create a working bootable CD, my next step was to create the rescue media as an ISO and then use Rufus to get a bootable USB – and that worked too. What made me suspicious is that I could create a bootable CD with PE10 that worked just fine on the old Win7 32bit machine. I had already done just fine with newer Win10 systems without running into this. The solution ended up being that I had to pre-format the USB using diskpart as described in Drove me up the wall for a good couple days. ![]() No matter which PE choice I made, the boot from USB would always end up failing with Missing Operating System. New to Macrium Reflect Home v8 and right away ran into problem attempting to boot USB rescue media on old Win7 32bit systems. ![]()
